GUEST DESIGNERS

It gives me great pleasure to announce our Guest Designer for the month of September. Please give a warm welcome to the incredibly talented..

I live in Los Angeles, California with my loving husband and our two wonderful little daughters. My girls are the inspiration for all my creative projects . . . I call them my little muses.

I work part-time as a health insurance agent. It’s the perfect part-time career because my hours are flexible and I have plenty of time to spend with my family with enough extra time for scrapping.

I started scrapbooking in September of 2004 and I have been hooked ever since. Scrapbooking is my hobby, passion and creative outlet. I always say, “It’s cheaper than therapy!” I’m a very slow scrapper, often spending several nights on one layout. I love to fuss over all the little details and get everything just right. I would define my scrapping style as romantic with a touch of shabby chic, and my pages just don’t feel complete without a flower (or two, or three or four). My work has been published in Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbooks Etc., Scrapbook Trends, Memory Makers, Somerset Memories, Cards, Simply Handmade, Scrapbook Inspirations, and Scrapbooking m.m. I am currently on the design teams for Creating Keepsakes Magazine and Prima. You can visit my blog at www.stacycohen.blogspot.com.

You can find my work in several different magazines, including Cards, Creating Keepsakes, Memory Makers, Scrapbooks and Cards Today, Scrapbooks Etc, Scrapbook Trends, and more.

I am currently designing for BasicGrey, Fancy Pants Designs, We R Memory Keepers and The ScrapCake.  I live in the US in beautiful Colorado, and I am a stay-at-home mom to two wild boys, ages 8 and 6, and a 2 year old girl. They grow up so fast. I am enjoying life right now, even though it can get a bit chaotic.
Here is my blog Pamela's World of Scrap

 Larissa Albernaz from Brazil

Hi, I´m Larissa Albernaz

As a paper crafter, I have been scrapbooking for six years. Along these years, scrapbooking has provided me a great sort of artistic possibilities. In fact, I love scrapbooking because it provides me to  express myself in style, mixing paper, embellishments, colors, memories and a message.
So, scrapbooking to me is not only a way to preserve my memories but, it's the way I do Art.In making Art I pursue something that has sense to me, which inspires me and that can be different, interesting, cute, creative, colorful and fun!  I adore papers and creating page layouts or 3 dimensional pieces. One of my life’s little pleasures is to cut, tear and distress them, creating anything that translates the story I want to tell. A scrap of paper is the perfect place for my dreams and impressions. My style is eclectic, crafty.

I´m on the design team at Hambly Screenprints, Basic Grey, Webster`s Pages, The Color Room, {Entreartistes} French magazine, 4 heures 37 and Yummy´s, a Brazilian online store.

You can check out my works at my blog: http://www.lariscrap.typepad.com

10 random facts about me:

I love chocolate.
I love Paris.
I love to read.
I love cutting paper.
I love taking a shower with water in abundance and burning hot.
I don´t like coffee.
I don´t watch TV.
I hate to go out on rainy days, so, I´m glad I live in Brazil!
I love laughing. Life is too short to take completely seriously.
I´m an early bird! I love to create when everybody else is sleeping and they can´t bother me! This is the perfect time to spread things on the floor all over the place until it gets completely surrounded by papers, tools, paint and pictures.
I love colors. If I were a color, I´d be turquoise... or the rainbow. I´m not sure, I´m a woman and I constantly change my opinion.
But it´s true... seeing a rainbow makes me as happy as if I had found that pot of gold! "

From the creative side of playing with gorgeous papers and embellishments,  the continual reminder of the things that are most important to me, to the fabulous community of supportive, inspiring and creative women!!
It is insane for me to think that I created my very first page just over 6 months ago and now I have been invited to join what is THE best blog design team out there! If there ever was inspiration for those new to scrapbooking to keep rocking the OUAS challenges, I am it! I feel so very honoured and excited to have been asked to join the OUAS team and can't wait to start creating and viewing all of the fabulous submissions!
I would love it if you dropped by my blog, Starting to Scrap, and say hi!

Vibeke Harila from Norway

I have been scrapping for 4 years – and I love it. Everything from taking the perfect picture – to the pleasure of making something great out of it.  I really enjoy when I have the time – and the inspiration to make layouts. Lately I have made some cards too;) I am a happy girl from Norway – crazy for scrapbooking! My favourite style is lots of layers, shabby with white and light colors. I am so lucky that I am a member of 3 other Design Teams: Mollys Scrapbooking, Pion Design and ScrappeHuset. I am so proud to be a part of this wonderful team!!:) You can visit my blog here:http://vibekescrapperogskryter.blogspot.com/

Mahlin Wiggur from Sweden

My name is Mahlin and I live in a beautiful house here in Sweden.
I´m working as a special ed´s teacher for kids with autism and Aspergers syndrome and then I go home to my  2 year old son Vilmer and our siamese cat Andy.

´ve been scrapbooking for about 3 years now, but I´ve been crafting since the first day I got my hands on a pair of scissors.  When I create I use alot of bright vivid colors. I combine them with lots of pattern. One might say I´m somewhat addicted to color =) . I also work with a lot of detail on my layouts and you´ll often find clusters of embellies on my projects. I´m always on the look out for new exciting embellies to create with and I have a huge stash of vintage ephemera to dive in to.

I can´t create without: Color, stickles (or any kind of glitter glue), chipboard and bling.
I have a hard time with: ribbons and visible journaling.

When I scrap I do it as pure art, and mostly just for myself, as therapy. I feel good when I create. The memory keeping is a huge bonus but not my main goal, that´s why you won´t find so much journaling on my pages. I just scribble down a few words on the back.
