May 15th **WINNERS**

Hi everyone. Its time to announce the winners of our May 15th challenge. Everyone, I seriously am not joking when I say that it is IMPOSSIBLE to narrow down 83 STUNNING entries to a handful. As each of our Design Team members was sending me her votes I constantly heard the same message from them...that they are finding it VERY VERY hard to pick just a few as the quality of the work that you are all producing is amazing!

For this reason, I have decided that along with the winners and the Top 5, I will feature some more layouts that caught our eye.

At this point I need to stress that we had to overlook some OUTSTANDING entries, which did not follow the journalling criteria which was that the journalling had to be typed. This was SO hard for us to have to do as we could see the effort that was put into these layouts, so please make sure you remember the sketch always comes with the added journalling criteria.

Please do not be discouraged to try again if you have not been featured yet. There are so many outstanding entries each fortnight and we really want to see many more from you!

So without further delay let me introduce you to the 2 winners from our last challenge. ..

The winner of the $20.00 gift voucher from Your Scrapbook Stash  is the super talented ...

VIBEKE HARILA  of Norway
What is there not to like about this layout? The artistic photos, the well placed flowers and embellishments, the gorgeous layering. A perfect layout that was a favourite of all our Design Team.

Congratulations Vibeke! We love your contribution to our blog so please email me, Nadia, here to claim your prize.

Our second winner and a VERY close runner up is this gorgeous layout by

MARIANNE JOHANSSON also from Norway
I am wondering..is there something in the water in Norway, because we have seen some beautiful work come out of there! Keep going girls. Well done Marianne..you have won this kit, so please email me here to claim your prize.

Now lets move on to our...

TOP 5 featured projects
(in winning order)

TINA DALTON from Australia

SANDRA CHERUBS from Lithuania

 DEBBI TERHANIi from the USA

HILDE AASLUND   from Norway

MILAGROS C. RIVERA from Puerto Rico

What gorgeous work. Well done everyone.

Now, here are some more that were voted by the Design Team as eye catching..

Melenia from Greece

Eila Sandberg from Sweden
193_Mischievous-main 800

Shamma Parvin from Singapore

Nadrah Maidin from Malaysia

Catherine Siwczak from France

Just gorgeous layouts and really any one these could have been a winner. Well done girls. Keep up the good work.

Lastly I want to mention a couple of entries that stood out to me personally! A shout out goes to Elaine Forum Smidt who entered this layout.

Elaine, was so pleased that she received some nice comments on her entry from our Design Team that she emailed me to thank me. She explained that where she lives, Argentina, supplies are SO limited and she feels quite isolated as not many people are fans of scrapbooking. Elaine is not only a really friendly person, but also inspiring. She has started her own challenge blog, where she posts a layout from someone she finds inspiring and the challenge is to try and recreate that layout with recycled , handmade or whatever items you have at hand. Well done Elaine for trying to encourage a new generation of scrappers in your country!

And something to make you giggle..When this lovely girl Dalia Chapman, from Lithuania, realised that our journalling criteria this time was to TYPE your journalling and upon discovering that her current printer was not working,  did the thing that would only seem normal to other addicted scrappers..she bought a NEW PRINTER..LOL! In her own words

"Here is my take on May 15 challenge at Once Upon A Sketch. This time journaling should be typed. Can you believe this, I even went and bought a printer for it, well it was about time I had one really, but as you can see scrapbooking has totally twisted my little head. ha, ha ;)"

LOL! That's what I call commitment Dalia and for that I would like to show everyone your gorgeous layout ..

Before we go, here is the RANDOMLY chosen winner of the gift voucher from Your Scrapbook Stash..

Congratulations Vanessa De Bonis. Please email me here to claim your prize.

Thanks so much everyone. See you next time.

GUEST DESIGNER

Welcoming this month, the SUPER AMAZING ..

I am from Singapore. A full time mommy to two beautiful kids, whom are also my frequently scrapped subjects. Having paper-crafting for more than 7 years ago, I am thankful for opportunities that have come my way which allowed me to be involved with Melissa Frances, Webster's Pages, Glitz Designs, Tattered Angels and Dusty Attic. Also an instructor for my local store in Singapore, I conduct regular workshops. I am truly blessed and humbled to have the opportunities to travel to Malaysia and Indonesia regularly to conduct papercraft-related workshops. I count myself fortunate to have over 100 of my works in print in various US scrapbooking/ papercraft magazines and UK/French/Russian/Australian's scrapbooking magazines and idea books. Thank you SO Much for having me as your guest! =)
