This month, I chose someone I think is worthy of being spotlighted because firstly he (yes its a man!) has created a really pretty layout but more so because I think his journalling is so honest and its something we have all felt in our lives at some point. You can read all about his layout at his blog but basically Charlie talks about not fitting in and just HOW BRAVE are you Charlie to share this with us and put it out there when most people would not. Also, I just think you are amazing for pushing through all that and instead of going and hiding away from the world you decided to "show them" and just made a decision to find yourself and be happy!!!. Well done. Keep going!!!

Charllie G. (The Philippines)

And here is your badge to display at your blog..

The entry picked via which has won a Scrapbooking Fantasies valued at over AU$10.00 is Lovez' Lao (The Philippines) . Congratulations to you :))

Can all the winners PLEASE contact me, Nadia at within 7 days to claim your prize.
PLEASE write "OUAS January Winner" in your subject and please send me your address and tell me the prize you won.

 Many thanks!!!

Still Time...

Hey everyone!

Just reminding you that you still have time to enter our challenge this month and I just want to remind you that challenges now end at midnight 25th of each month (Australian Eastern Standard Time) so this means you have just under 2 days left to enter our January challenge which is this.,.

Theme: "The start of something new"

The new year is among us. What better way to celebrate change, renewed hope and having a positive attitude than with a brand new year? A new start...a new horizon and the start of something new! A new year is full of possibilities. So in honor of the start of 2013, we would like you to create a layout and interpret the theme "The start of something new..." however you like. Whatever that sentence inspires you to scrap then go for it.

Ideas for journalling: Include the theme sentence as your title, a new job coming up or the beginning of a new job and in the past and what it meant to you, a child's new toy, a new house you are building/moving in to or one you have moved in already, a new year and what it means to you, a new attitude, the start of a new school year, a new relationship - yours, a family members, your child's, a new friendship, new wardrobe, new diet, new phone, new haircut...

Your layout must incorporate this theme and the sketch below.

Please make sure that we see some sort of journalling on your layouts and please tell us where your journalling is . You are allowed to journal in any language but please tell us where on your page we will find your journalling. Remember journalling has to be a bit more than a title, or a generic comment. Hidden journalling is perfectly fine.

December Challenge *** Winners***!!!!!

Yeah we have a pretty amazing and efficient Design Team here. They all voted even after I made an error and asked the wrong people to vote right in the middle of the BUSIEST and CRAZIEST time of the year. THANK YOU TEAM!!

I have said this before, but one thing we take very seriously here is the voting and it simply takes a long time to vote. Its not just picking whoever just to fill in the numbers. Voting is a job all on its own and as we all know everyone is very very busy but this team finds time in their busy lives to vote efficiently for the winners because we all feel how important it is to all of you AND to us too!

We are always looking for different ways to feature layouts here without taking away the "exclusivity" of being amongst the Top 10 out of SO many entries (sometimes close to 120+). So after throwing some ideas around we decided to introduce a more personal way of featuring layouts so that hopefully all styles and preferences are represented.

The Top 5 winners will still stay the same. These are the Top 5 with the highest marks.

But further down, you will find that starting from this month our Top 5 Featured layouts will be 5 Design Team member's individual picks. That means that 1 of 5 Design Team members chose 1 layout outside the winners that really stood out to them , so much that they gave it very high points. We hope you like this feature because its a little more personal and I think it is nice when you know someone specifically liked your layout.

One more feature we wanted to introduce is a spotlight on one of our entries. We would like to choose 1 entry/participant for whatever reason they stood out. This can depend on many reasons, journalling, design , participation etc etc. So look for that further down...

So let's see how we went this month!

Please note: Can all the winners PLEASE contact me, Nadia (, within 7 days to claim your prize. PLEASE write "OUAS December Winner" in your subject and please send me your address and tell me the prize you won. Many thanks!!!

Can all the winners also grab their winners or featured badges from the right sidebar of our blog. Thanks!!
